Wally Haddleton had the honour of cutting the Katanning Centenary cake. The man on his left is Dick Old; M.L.A. for Katanning and National Country Party Leader.

Inscriptions and markings
On top of the cake in icing is "Happy Birthday Katanning 100 years", and on the side of the cake is a white label with black printing "PRESENTED BY THE NATIONAL AUSTRALIA", then a red star and then "BANK" and underneath in white is "Together".
On the back of the photograph handwritten in black texta is ("Wally cutting Centenary cake Ktg".
