A sepia photograph printed on a postcard of three young boys dressed in suits and top hats and five young girls dressed in long dresses. The girl in the middle appears to be a bride.

Historical information

In a letter from the donor, Janet Cobby nee Lang is the fourth child from the left and is dressed as the groom. Janet Cobby was the daughter of Margaret and James Lang, Margaret was a long time member of the Katanning Church.

Inscriptions and markings

On the back of the postcard handwritten in blue ink is "Church of England Fancy Dress Ba? Row lef? to right Judy Tree ? Janel Lang, Betty Crouch Dorothy Paynter Sitting Fay Wheatley, Kathleen Meldrum, Irene Brown ?in England Sunday School Date unknown".

On the back of the postcard printed in brown lettering is "POST CARD" and underneath this line are two columns with a heading for the left hand column of "CORRESPONDENCE" and the right hand column of "ADDRESS ONLY" and in the top right hand corner a square with the words "KODAK" at the top and bottom and the words “AUSTRAL” on the sides.
