Statement of significance

Historic: When the brickworks opened, the frogs bore the stamp of both Coombe and Whiting until Whiting was bought out and Coombe became the sole name in the frog. In 1913, he sold the brickworks to Robert Law, owner of the Metro Brick Company, and Armadale appeared in the frog.
Provenance: It was used to build a wash house at 9 Beckingham Street in Beckenham.
