Overview

The seal is composed of the letters 'SMC' within a six pointed star silhouetted with evenly spaced small prongs producing the seal as reproduced on attached data sheet. Triangular shapes have been cut away from brass cylinder with the side opposite the seal being smooth and adjoining a hollow brass cylinder into which the wooden handle fits. A flat wooden semi-circle (broken) abuts the cylindrical brass piece beneath which is the tapering wooden handle with a smooth finish and round end. The seal was found in a cupboard in the Subiaco City Council office in 1995.
