Historical information
The 500-mile journey from Carnarvon to Mullewa was easily accomplished in three and a half days. The party arrived at Mullewa in the morning and left for Perth by train in the afternoon. That evening, McCallum paid tribute to the group, and especially the drivers, for their ‘excellent performance’.
