The Scholar's Spelling Assistant by Thomas Carpenter seems to have been originally published in the UK around the mid nineteenth century. It was intended for the use of schools and private tuition.
Frederick Warne & Co. is a British publisher founded in 1865. It is known for children's books. In 1983, Warne was bought by Penguin Books.
