MP Whitton migrated from England in 1911 and moved from Perth to Busselton in the 1920s. He was the proprietor of MP Whitton General store on the corner Queen & Prince St and a Justice of the Peace.

AF Palandri was the Proprietor of the Ship Hotel from 1932 -1937 and a member of the Busselton Municipal Council for some years.

Mr Percy Smith Bignell was born in Deniliquin, Victoria, on 2nd April, 1874. He arrived in WA in 1898 and moved to Busselton in 1899 where managed a pharmacy in Albert Street. Whilst he continued to work as a Pharmacist he quickly identified a need for passenger transport in the region and in 1901 he set up a buggy service to Caves House. This was soon superseded, in 1908 by a motor coach, which was the very first motor vehicle to come south of Perth. In 1924 he sold his pharmacy, opened a garage and took over General Motors Vehicle Agency whilst his transport interests continued to expand.
