Bushes line the right-hand side of the road with trees behind a wooden paling fence on the left-hand side. An open motor vehicle is on the road carrying a male driver and a woman in the front seats, with a younger man in the rear of the vehicle. The postcard has an ornate border resembling a picture frame. The original message has been crossed out in blue ink.

The original message addressed to "Miss R Smith / York Street. / Albany / Dear Rose / I arrived / home safe & sound. / Mr Sampson / wants his stuff / to come out on / Friday 27th. / Love / Laura" has been crossed out in blue ink. A red "WESTERN AUSTRALIA . POSTAGE ONE PENNY" is located in the top right-hand corner.
