MGGC CLUB FLAG

The MGGC flag features the club's crest on a green background.

It is raised daily along with the Australian and Western Australian flags on the flagpole outside the clubhouse lounge beside the practice putting green.

The attachments show:

• the flags on the flagpole
• a close up of the crest on the flag
• a lengthways view of the whole flag

It is not known when the flag was originally designed and displayed. Several other items in the archive dated in the early 1970s show the crest form. One of those is a presentation table cloth dated 1974 that has the same design and colouring as the crest on the club flag.

And, the flag would obviously have been replaced over time due to wear and tear.
