ANZAC Shield

The ANZAC Shield trophy was introduced in 2026 as a complementary trophy to the Diggers Cup celebrated annually on ANZAC Day the 25th April. Competitors for the Shield are those who do not qualify to compete in the Diggers Cup, which is restricted to ex-allied forces service people.

The trophy is made of jarrah wood in the shape of a shield, mounted on an oblong shaped wooden platform. The shield is connected to the base by a mounting post with the shield secured to the post by screws.

On the face of the shield is the trophy title and 57 small gold coloured metal shields where winners’ names are engraved.
