ANZAC Shield

The ANZAC Shield trophy was introduced in 2026 as a complementary trophy to the Diggers Cup celebrated annually on ANZAC Day the 25th April. Competitors for the Shield are those who do not qualify to compete in the Diggers Cup, which is restricted to ex-allied forces service people.

The trophy is constructed from solid jarrah timber finished in a satin lacquer. The main feature is a 13mm board shaped in the form of a shield. The shield is screwed to a mounting post, and the post is glued into the oblong-shaped base.

On the face of the shield is the trophy title and 57 small gold coloured metal shields where winners’ names are engraved.
