Overview
Small children's dress made of creamy white fabric, collared neckline and medium length sleeves with smocking stitch that matches smocking on bodice and rolled hem. Floral motif embroidered across front bodice panel with matching embroidery on collar. Missing one of three buttons on back opening. Finished with invisible hem.
Dress is handmade.
Historical information
Supplementary information provided states that donor Margaret Maslen is the daughter of Elaine Nelson (born 11/10/1916) who was the daughter of Eliza and Alf Nelson, of 181 Park Street Subiaco from at least 1921 and formerly of Boulder (from 1904). The Nelsons brought up their family at their home in Park Street. See more details in attached files. No date has been provided.
