Overview
Small children's dress made of creamy white silk fabric, consisting of a high, rounded neckline and a high waisted bodice that is split down the back and ties at neckline with a white ribbon that matches the drawstring at the waist. Dress appears to be hand made with French seams and decorated with lace trim above and on the hemline.
Dress is handmade.
Historical information
Supplementary information provided states that donor Margaret Maslen is the daughter of Elaine Nelson (born 11/10/1916) who was the daughter of Eliza and Alf Nelson, of 181 Park Street Subiaco from at least 1921 and formerly of Boulder (from 1904). The Nelsons brought up their family at their home in Park Street. See more details in attached files. No date has been provided.
