Overview

This is a brochure for the WA PGA Championship conducted at MGGC 15-18 March 1979.

This copy is not to be used for display purposes.

The brochure is a 32 page, A4 sized document.

The content:

- introduces readers to the club via welcomes from club President Don Moran, and Captain Laurie Johnston

- provides a short club history

- has a message from the Tournament Director, Jock Borthwick

- describes tournament details such as prizemoney, player list and past winners

- has reviews of several players including Graham Marsh, Peter Headland, Rodger Davis, Ian Stanley, Wayne Grady, Ted Ball, Terry Kendall, Kel Nagle and Terry Gale

- has a scorecard and course layout diagram

The event was broadcast on television by Channel 9 direct on Saturday and Sunday for several hours until the conclusion of play. Research of the results showed that NZ golfer Richard Coombes won the event.
