has a very ornate griller type top on 2 metal 15cm poles and underneath this are 2 long open slotted receptacles that hold wicks which has turning knobs on the ends to adjust wicks and has a press down lever to raise wick section to enable a flame to be ignited, presume it's of cast iron and either used to heat flat irons or functioned as portable cooking stove. also presume it uses Kerosene for fuel.

this device often functioned as a portable cooking stove for boiling water or small scale cooking. or it was designed to heat multiple heavy flat irons (sad irons) simultaneously on its top grate it was likely powered by Kerosene.
