Overview

A coloured photograph of Axon Park (now Market Square Park). The park has no grass. Instead, there are large piles of yellow sand. In the distance, the old St John of God hospital building can be seen. On the left side of the image St Joseph's Roman Catholic church is visible, although it is partially obscured by trees. A faded red date stamp in the bottom right corner of the image reads '18 11 '87'.
Reverse: A typed label reads 'Axon Street Re-alignment, 18th November 1987'.
