Overview

A coloured photograph of Townshend Road, taken from the York Street/Townshend Road intersection facing North. The road has been taken up so that only yellow sand remains. On the right side of the road part of the road near the footpath has been dug up. There is an orange cone that blocks off this part of the footpath. Housefronts are visible on the left side of the road. In the distance on the road there is a yellow tractor which is moving yellow sand.
Reverse: A typed label reads 'Axon Street/Twonshend Road realignment November 1987'. A handwritten inscription in black ink has been added to alter this label so that it reads 'Townshend Road' rather than 'Twonshend Road'. Another handwritten inscription has been added to this label that reads 'Cnr York looking North to Roberts Rd'.
