Claudia Kniest Whitfield (1900-93) and Mary Guerin (Polly) Whitfield (1902-68) were the daughters of Edward Goldsmith Whitfield and Amy Whitfield (nee Maley). The sisters grew up on Wonobbing Farm, York, and later took over the property as their only brother was killed in WWI. They lived there until the property was sold in 1948. Neither married.
