Black and white photograph of H. Gould Drapers store in Subiaco.

Three men standing on verandah and two young girls standing on right by window of store. Building is on the corner with a balcony and and sign in centre reading: 'Established 1897'. Handcart upended on left of building in front of houses and trees. Unmade roadway in front of store.

Historical information

Henry Gould came to Australia in 1871 to Bendigo, married and then moved with children to Subiaco. See 'People file' on Gould family and drapers.

The building was later extended. It became the Colisseum Theatre, and is now the site of the Regal Theatre.
