Black and white copy of a photograph of people standing on a stage with a banner overhead reading 'Chinese National Day Ball # (double tenth). Delightful music by U.S.A. Navy Dance Band. In aid of Chinese Famine Relief .. Mon. Oct. 11th .. 8.30pm - 2am .. Tickets ..'
There are many young ladies in long dance dresses, some with floral corsages. Three men in dinner suits stand close to a microphone, two other men stand at the right hand side, one in naval uniform(?) The Ball was held in the Embassy Ballroom in Perth. The fund raising ball was attended by many Australian Chinese, including Subiaco resident, Oswald Lums.
