olive brown dress with pleated front, short sleeves, collar , single button at front, two button down pockets on front and epaulettes on shoulders.Sewn above right pocket a rectangle black badge with a brown boarder and yellow stylised image of a person dancing. Sewn above left pocket is a white patch with numbers on either side of a yellow insect, possibly a bee. Numbers on badge are [19 68]. White patch with red text sewn at top of left arm. Brownies uniform worn by Julie Pheasant when a member of the 1st Armadale troop from c1966-1969. They used to meet in the R.S.L Hall. The uniform was worn at the weekly meetings, on Brownie Camps and other events including 'odd-jobbing' a form of community service that earned Brownies patches. The Brownies were a club for girls aged 7-10. After the age of 10 they moved up and joined the Girl Guides.
