MACHINE EMBROIDERY, SAMPLERS
1996An unusual sampler, illustrating machine embroidery using metallic components which was stitched by UK tutor Jean Mobbs-Webb for a workshop for the Embroiderers’ Guild of WA in 1997. Consists of 5 samples using different metal components - soft drink cans, copper gauze, fly wire, gold leaf, metal beads - mounted on a felted wool background.
A piece of her artwork, ASIAN HANGING, was purchased #1999.12.
