SADDLE; RACING (MALCOLM FERGUSON'S)
Overview
Racing style saddle. Panels lined with blue wool fabric with quilting tufts of yellow wool and white overstitching. White metal fittings.
Historical information
This saddle was owned by Toodyay resident Malcolm 'Mac' Ferguson. Malcolm was a well-known horseman and used this saddle for Equestrian events at Agricultural shows. It was worn on his horse 'Minuet' who was Champion Hunder in 1936, 1937 and 1938 and it went to the Royal Show on the back of 'Blue Spark' - Champion Gentleman's Hack in 1934.
