Overview

Black and white photograph featuring the St. Hugh's Church of England, a heritage listed building. The church was originally a timber structure from 1915 and the brick sanctuary was added in the 1920's. The brick clad section of the building features gothic windows with leadlights. There is a large tree out the front of the building and a school bus is parked out the front to the left of the photograph.
There is a printed label or article affixed to the album page, detailing the laying of the Church's foundation stone for the St. Hugh's Fallen Soldiers Memorial Sanctuary by the governor on 21 April, 1923.
There is a secondary label or article affixed to the album 'Remember the school bus?' The text describes the Federal Bus Company service to and from Jolimont.

The church building is presently the Our Lady Help of Christians, Star of the Sea Catholic Church.
