Overview

The colour photograph features the house at 10 Bedford Avenue, Subiaco which is a tuck-pointed red brick house with a hipped corrugated iron roof and two chimneys. The bay shaped front room has three narrow shash windows covered by a shaped awning which is supported by wooden brackets and an intricate roofline to match. There is a half front verandah with a bullnose roof and an awning over the front step leading to the front door. There is a brick garage to the right of the photograph with an open door in a pink tone with fading and missing paint. Shrubs have been planted along the front fence line.

On Reverse: Written in black pen '10 Bedford Avenue Subiaco'.

Historical information

Date of photo: 7/11/1977.

House first listed in Wise Post Office Directory in 1906, before house numbers were included. However resident name is Jones, Isaac B., (Robert, Jones & Co), which continues in successive years.
