PHOTOGRAPH: SOCIAL GROUP, INCLUDING MRS SHIRLEY WHITE
c. 1920The original black and white photograph shows a group of twelve women and three girls, taken in a garden in front of a hedge. There is detail of the house next door in the background. The four women seated in the front include Mrs Shirley White, wife of the mayor, Mr White. Mr White`s daughter stands at the extreme right of the front row. The women may possibly be the representatives of a committee. A child wearing the same clothes as the afore-mentioned, stands on Mrs White`s right -- another daughter?
