Note from A.J. Lecaille re flour to Mrs Gratton

The Rev Aldolphus J. Lecaille (1826-1908) arrived on the "Lochnagar" in 1858 and was naturalised in 1859. He was a Roman Catholic clergyman at Champion Bay from 1865 and was a builder of churches & schools.
Not much is known about Elizabeth Gratton other than she was the wife of an Enrolled Pensioner Guard.

This is the only letter in the Maley Mill and Store Archives associated with either of this two people. It also provides evidence of the Catholic Church supporting its parishioners in time of need.
