Thomas Butler (1821-80) was born in Ireland. Enlisted in 1839 and served 8 years in East Indies & Burma. Formerly a private in 80th Regiment (transferred from 13th).
He married Ellen Wright. They arrived per 'Lord Dalhousie' in 1863 and were granted 2 lots of land at Greenough. Butler died at Greenough.
