Brownie Starlet Camera
c. 1946Rectangular black plastic box with a silver metal panel on the front with a round metal lens, a square glass viewfinder and a red plastic shutter release knob. On the base there are two round plastic knobs, one is the winder and the other the lock. On the top there is a silver metal plate and at the back there is a small square glass viewfinder with a small round red plastic knob. On each side there is a small fitting which holds a cloth shoulder strap. Mounted on the right side is a flash, black plastic wand and a silver metal shade. There are distance settings printed on the back.
Made in 1946 and manufactured by Kodak in Australia. The folding 620 roll film camera has a glass prism viewfinder mounted on the side of the camera lens. This Brownie model was considered unreliable and had a very limited production in the mid 1940's.
