Smith Premier 60 Manual Typewriter
c. 1930Smith Premier manual typewriter. Painted black metal with beige coloured plastic coated keys. Two metal spools for holding black and red printer ribbon, long round rubber roller and black plastic knob for holding paper. On the front are two metal discs with 'SP' in centre. 'Smith Premier' printed in gold text on the top metal flap that covers silver metal mechanisms at the back. 'Smith Premier 60 writes 92 characters. It has the regular 4 bank keyboard with which typists are so familiar but there are four extra keys which write eight additional characters. They are so placed that they do not interfere in any way with the touch method of typing.'

'Smith Premier / Made in Syracuse, N.Y., U.S.A.' - Printed in gold text on back
Typewriter was donated by Wanneroo Volunteer Taskforce and was used in the Wanneroo area.
