AMERICAN ARMY TRUCK AT WAREHOUSE IN CLAREMONT
B/W print. An American army truck with canvas cover backed up to open doors of a large corrugated iron building. Muddy looking tracks lead to the building. There are heaps of timber on either side and a person sitting outside a smaller building on the right. Written on the rear of the original [Warehouse where I worked with Supply Platoon in Claremont. 7/3/42]
The location of this warehouse is thought to be on the corner of Stirling Road and St Quentin Avenue. During World War 11 the Americans occupied a building there.
