SPEAR
Wooden length of bush timber with flattened tip/blade. Decorative incisions one third of the way back from the blade tip, and again where blade ends and haft begins.
probably of desert origin accordiing to Moya Smith of WA Museum who viewed this emailed photo We have a registration for a spear on CH 174, but the dimensions are for a smaller barbed spear. As this is the only spear in accession that I can locate, I am unable to connect that paperwork with this item.
