1918A black and white photograph shows part of a large crowd gathered on York Street in Albany around midday on Friday, November 8th, 1918. Town officials are collected at the entrance to the town hall, and an Australian flag is being waved conspicuously from the steps. Many in the crowd are looking on. The doors to the adjacent fire station are open, with some brigade appliances and other vehicles mixed in with the crowd.
