HAT PIN: DOUBLE ENDED, LACQUERED
Hat pin, double-ended, lacquered. Brass pin attached to one lacquered 'head', fits into the other 'head' after being passed through crown of hat. Lacquered 'heads' have oval shapes outlined in gold on a dark blue background. The oval centres are red, green or blue. The surface is lustrous.

Hat pins from the home of the Misses Newman (two sisters), on the corner of Kershaw and Hamersley Roads, Subiaco. Hat pins used to secure hats on hair and prevent the hats blowing off.
