The associations to this subject record John Goddard's services to the club and the several golf events that he won.

 

In addition, the Annual Report of 1979 mentions that John also won the 1979 Junior Match Play championship. No other records of the Junior Match Play championship have been encountered at the time of writing these notes.  

 

John's name also appears on a trophy titled North City Holden / WA Junior Golf Challenge. This trophy has been interpreted as the forerunner to the MGGC Junior Boys Champion of Champions event. His name is the only winner present, dated 1979.

 

In 1981 John also won the WA Junior Golfer of the Year.
