Summer Cup

The Summer Cup is an event open to players from visiting clubs and is generally played during late January or early February.

 

It is currently an 18 hole stableford event.

 

Prior to 2017 is was an 18 hole par event. Newsletter January 1997 also notes that it was a 36 hole par open event.

 

The winners of this event have been extracted from the club's General Meetings, Annual Reports, newsletters, personal communications with various club members, and golf prize report sheets located on the club's computing systems. These sources have provided complete results from 1995 onwards but only intermittent results from 1972 to 1994. Further research is required to complete the history.
