HONOUR BOARD: WEST SUBIACO WORLD WAR ONE
Large maroon painted wooden honour board, with gold, white, red and blue painted detailing. The board lists 76 names of men who served in the First World War from West Subiaco, with a blue star denoting those who were killed and a red cross those who were wounded. At the very top of the board is a black swan signifying Western Australia, the Australian flag pointing to the right crossed with the Union Jack facing the left. At the top of the board reads: 'WEST SUBIACO / ROLL OF HONOUR' with a list of names then following, listed in no particular order. The board is chipped and scratched in places.

According to the donor, the honour board hung in Progress Hall at 308 Onslow Road from approximately 1920 until the building was demolished. It was then hung in the Shenton Park Community Centre at 240 Onslow Road from 1983 to 2014, when it was donated to the museum.

Historic: The board is a lst of names of people from West Subiaco who served in World War One. Social: The board was made by the Shenton Park sub branch of the RSL, a support organisation for Australian servicemen and women. Interpretive: Can be used as part of a collection for the First World War, people who g to war, and how we remember those who served in the years following. Rarity: This item was specially made.
