The mouth of the Greenough River has always been a popular place for relaxation. This photo appears on p.23 of Ivy Ducas' book "They Came to Greenough," (printed in 1980) and is titled "Family group at picnic on the Greenough River." The people are not identified, though likely to be members of the Morrell family.

As well as being part of the Morrell collection, this photograph is important in depicting people in a relaxed outdoor setting. A development that was brought about by the production of affordable, easily used cameras.
