Historical information

George Woolhouse Wilson (1896-1941) was born at Greenough and educated at Guildford Grammar School, where he was a champion athlete. He enlisted in the AIF in January 1916 and was wounded whilst serving. Although he returned to Australia, married and farmed, he never fully recovered from the injuries received in his military service.
