Historical information

Alfred Clarence Ferris was born in Adelaide in 1882.

Married Lousia Anderson Flint from Glenelg, South Australia on January 27, 1908. Children: Eric George (b.1911), Gwenyth Mary (b.1916), Winifred Vance (b. 1918), John (b.1921) and Lorna Jean (b. 1914).

The couple lived in Claremont at 39 Vaucluse Street (which is now number 20), then at Neves on Victoria Parade (now Freshwater arade) and in Victoria Avenue.

Founded Ferris & Forbes - Valuers and Auctioneers on 7 October 1911, located on Bay View Terrace.

Ferris was a Town Clerk for Claremont. Died in South Australia in 1958.
