WEDDING INVITATION FOR MISS N PRICE & MR J MC DONNELL
1968A long piece of cream card in the smaller rectangular centre section has silver text requesting the pleasure of, outlining the event and location, and handwriting in blue ink with the names of invitees and participants.
The two outer wings are bi-folded to cover the centre section and have, on the left wing, an image of bells and flowers, and more flowers on the right.
On 18 March 1968 Robert Ritchings attended the wedding of his friend James McDonnell to Naomi Elizabeth Price at St Mary's In the Valley in Kelmscott. The wedding reception was held at the White House Reception Centre on Nicholson Road in Cannington.
The groom James McDonnell lived at 23 Prospect Road Armadale and did his electrical apprenticeship at Midland Workshop in the early 1960's. He later became an Electrical Lecturer at TAFE where he met Robert.
Naomi grew up on Illawarra Orchard in Karragullen and was a member of the Price family who have owned the orchard since 1899.
