c. 1930Black and white photograph
Front: A group comprising five females (including Mrs Florence Balding) and three males (including Mr Balding) and two children. All women wearing coats, three protecting their hair with hairnets, Mrs Balding wears a hat. The men also wear hats and informal suits. The little girl wears a sou'wester and cape and carries a box camera. The little boy wears a cap and long shorts.
The group is standing in front of a motor vehicle, almost obscuring it. Some detail of house in background. Suggestion that group is undertaking a motoring expedition (women's hairnets, child's camera) and that it is winter (coats, hats, woman carrying umbrella) Museum holds original photo only
