Richardson & Co Store
c. 1910A black and white photograph of a group of people standing outstanding a two storey brick building, which has a wooden verandah along the entire length of the building. Above the windows of the second storey is "RICHARDSON & Co MERCHANTS GENERAL IMPORTERS". Along the top of the wooden verandah is "HARDWARE GLASSWARE PAINTS & OILS WALL PAPERS", the remaining words cannot be distinguished. The women in the photograph are wearing long dark skirts, and long sleeved blouses. The men are generally dressed in suits, although there are three men who are wearing long white aprons over their cloths. There is one man standing in the back of a horse drawn cart and the men on his far left is wearing a dark leather apron. There is one young boy in the photograph.
This card was probably sold as a postcard, it is a very good reproduction. The group of people outside the building are most likely the employees of Richardson's Store.
