Bedside Water Carafe

Overview

Glass water carafe has a bulbous body with an elongated thin neck, which is decorated in a vertical lin pattern. There is a chip on the lip of the spout . The base has a cut glass star shape pattern.

Historical information

This item was part of the c1910 glory box for a Busselton resident Mrs Hadley. A glory box, also called a hope chest, dowry chest, or trousseau, is a piece of furniture traditionally used to collect items, such as household items and clothing, by unmarried woman in anticipation of married life.
