Bedside Water Carafe
c. 1910Glass water carafe has a bulbous body with an elongated thin neck, which is decorated in a vertical lin pattern. There is a chip on the lip of the spout . The base has a cut glass star shape pattern.
This item was part of the c1910 glory box for a Busselton resident Mrs Hadley. A glory box, also called a hope chest, dowry chest, or trousseau, is a piece of furniture traditionally used to collect items, such as household items and clothing, by unmarried woman in anticipation of married life.

The water carafe was placed bedside the bed for drinking purposes. There would have been a small glass cup put over the neck
