Historical information

William "Squatter" Jones (William Thomas Jones, 1865–1940s) was a prominent early settler, sheep farmer, and community leader in Kojonup, Western Australia. Known for his sheep grazing, he earned his nickname by "squatting" on land, later becoming an influential Road Board member, introducing the first car to the district in 1911, and developing methods to manage poisonous plants in the region
