WOODEN BOX
1880The external top of the box has inlay of five small button sized circles of mother of pearl - one at each corner, joined with further inlay. One remaining button centered.
Inside, the lid, which is joined to the base with 2 brass hinges, is lined with self patterned silk fabric.
The boxes base is lined with burgundy paper.
The base has a keyhole set in the middle at the front of the box and is also made of pearl inlay.
The underside bottom of the box is unpolished with a small patch of fabric attached, of green & neutral colour.
