Overview

Fourteen spoke, black bamboo & fabric fan.
Made of slats which revolve around a pivot so that it can be closed for packing away, and expanded into a shape like the segment of a circle when in use.
Painted flowers in the centre of opened fan.
Struts held together by thin metal holder.

Historical information

Associated with Mary Ann McCluney (nee Syred) and used mainly during church services at St Philips Anglican Church, Culham on a Sunday.
