Overview

A coloured photograph of Rokeby Road facing North from between Hay Street and Barker Road. The median strip down the middle of Rokeby Road is filled with cement. There are cars driving on both sides of the road. ON the right side of the road a cyclist is riding next to a white car. There is a woman in jeans and a jumper crossing the road on the left. Shopfronts are visible on both sides of the road. On the right, notable shops include Frendlies Chemist and ANZ Bank. On the left a prominent sign reads 'PETICOAT LANE'. In the bottom right corner of the image there is a red date stamp which reads '9 6 '88'.

Reverse: A typed label has been partially torn. Visible lettering reads 'ROKEBY ROAD ??GRADING, HAY STREET TO BARKER ROAD, 9 JUNE 1988'. It is likely that the full label originally read 'ROKEBY ROAD UPGRADING, HAY STREET TO BARKER ROAD, 9 JUNE 1988'.
