Historical information

This certificate belonged to George Samuel Pitts who in 1929, at the age of 19, joined the new branch of the Ancient Order of Foresters at the Acton Park Hall, via Busselton.
This certificate was presented to him when he became Chief Ranger in 1936.
He was a financial member right up to his death in 1995.
The mounting of this certificate was done by the late George Cross, Photographer of Busselton. Two old oak trees which were situated on the bank of the Vasse River, town side of the bridge, were removed and some of the timber from these trees were carved and used for this frame.
