PHOTOGRAPH: MR AND MRS SHIRLEY WHITE ON CAMELS
The photograph features two camels seated on the ground with Shirley White seated on top of the one to the left with a young man sitting behind him. The camel's head is turned towards the baby camel standing next to it. Mrs Florence Rose White sits at the front of the opposite camel with a young woman, holding what appears to be a switch or riding crop, seated behind her. Both women, wearing long dresses, sit in side-saddle position. Another man, holding a length of rope stands at the head of the camel on the right. The ground around them is arid and rocky and there are large rocks in the background. Taken at Coolgardie. Written on the back: Shirley White (Dad) sitting on front of Camel; Florence Rose (Mother) sitting on front of other camel.
One of a number of photographs of the White family members.
