Historical information

This control panel was first installed in the District Traffic Superintendent building in Barrack St. Merredin , 1967 .In 1987 the panel changed from incandescent lamps to L.E.Ds--light emitting diodes . The panel was used to control points motors & signals between West Merredin & Koolyanobbing in order to facilitatethe movement of trains in that section , &to control movement . Panel was moved to West Merredin Yardmasters building & installed there in 1991 . Was decommissioned in April 1998& replaced with a computerised panel
